Whilst Sunday Mass is at the core of the parish, there are many other events that take place throughout the year. These events give the opportunity to get together to raise money for the church or one of the charities we support or to celebrate a particular occasion. This page shows archived parish events from our previous website for information. Rosary
Father Frank sends his thanks to everyone who has prayed the Rosary before and after the Masses in October - the month of the Holy Rosary. It is good to be reminded of the surpassing value of this powerful spiritual weapon - endorsed by the saints and by Our Blessed Lady herself in all her recent apparitions. May the month of the Holy Rosary inspire us to use this form of prayer with greater devotion and regularity

Church Consecration – Final Details and Arrangements: Welcome
On Saturday 9th July at 12 noon we welcome Archbishop Bernard to consecrate our church. The Rite of Consecration will involve the blessing of the church and altar with holy water and oil and the relic of St Margaret Mary will be sealed in the altar upon which incense will be burned. This is a very special celebration and an important moment in the history of our community. Please be seated by 11.45 am so we can be ready in good time before the Archbishop starts

A Prayer for the Consecration of our Church
God our heavenly Father, make the door of our Church wide enough to receive all who need human love and a Father’s heavenly care, and narrow enough to shut out all envy, pride and lack of love; here may the tempted find help, the sorrowful receive comfort, the careless be awakened to repentance, and the penitent be assured of your mercy; and here may all your children renew their strength and go on their way in hope and joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Mass with the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick
Every last Thursday in the month there is an opportunity for those who are sick to partake of this sacrament. The practice of being anointed with oil as a powerful prayer for strengthening and healing dates back to the earliest Church. Scripture bears witness to this when it says: “Are there any who are sick among you? Let them send for the priests of the Church and let the priests pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick persons, and the Lord will raise them up; and if they have committed any sins their sins will be forgiven them.
