3rd March 2007: Parish Curry evening
On Saturday the 3rd March 2007 at 7.30pm, parishioners and their guests enjoyed an evening of Keralan food, culture and bhangra dancing courtesy of members of the Keralan community in the UK. The event was held to raise money for a Jesus Youth event that will be held later this year. In addition to being our priest in charge, two important elements of Father Sebastian's role are the UK is to minister to the Keralan community here and to act as the pastor for the Jesus Youth movement.

The evening began with a special prayer sung by two of the younger members of that community. A delicious meal followed consisting of several different dishes prepared and cooked by two Keralan families. After the meal, members of the Jesus Youth performed dances inspired by the bhangra dancing in Bollywood films and Father Sebastian showed some pictures of Kerala and the recent ordination of his great nephew.

The event raised £916 for the Jesus Youth and our thanks go to all who worked so hard to make the evening a great success.
