Second Confirmation Mass held at Blessed Robert Grissold 18th April 2010

On Sunday 18th April 2010, our parish welcomed again Bishop William Kenney, Auxiliary Bishop of Birmingham, to celebrate Mass and administer the sacrament of confirmation on eight of our young people. This event was the culmination of much work by the parish, and in particular by Teresa Green & Madeleine Peat who were responsible for providing instruction to these young people on their journey to Confirmation.

The confirmandi helped to plan the service and read the readings and bidding prayers during the Mass. Music was provided by the Chris Kearl on the organ.

After Mass, Bishop William stayed on for a celebration in the parish room and chatted to parishioners and the confirmandi. Huge thanks must go to Teresa Green & Madeleine Peat for their efforts in preparing our young people and all the other members of the parish who worked so hard to make the service and celebration such a success.
