Whilst Sunday Mass is at the core of the parish, there are many other events that take place throughout the year. These events give the opportunity to get together to raise money for the church or one of the charities we support or to celebrate a particular occasion. Friday, 2nd March 2012 Women’s World Day of Prayer The Churches Together in Balsall and Berkswell celebration of the international Women’s World Day of Prayer will take place this year in St Peter’s Church on Friday 3rd March at 7.30pm. All are welcome – women, men and young people
Thursday, 1st March 2012 H.C.P.T. The Pilgrimage Trust Group 83 A Coffee Evening with Raffle will take place in our Parish Hall on Thursday 1st March. More details will follow at a later date. It is hoped that the Raffle Tickets will be available soon
Sunday, 26th February 2012 Millennium Project Our next Breakfast will be on Sunday 26th February. Everyone is welcome so please make a note of the date in your diary. More details to follow

Wednesday, 11th January 2012 Confirmation Classes The classes for our young people who are preparing to receive the sacrament of confirmation will re-commence on Wednesday 11th January

Sunday, 1st January 2012 Second Collection for Pope’s Visit As a Parish we have been asked to contribute £560 towards the outstanding cost of the Pope’s Visit so there will be a second collection next week and the following week for this. Please be generous

Sunday, 25th December 2011 Christmas Raffle A big thank you to all who supported the Christmas Raffle by donating prizes and buying tickets. We raised the grand sum of £808 towards the parish funds. The list of those who won prizes is on the church notice board.

Sunday, 4th December 2011 Friends of the Holy Land Our second collection last week in aid of Friends of the Holy Land raised £237.01. Thank you for your generosity
Sunday, 4th December 2011 Millennium Project Our ‘Breakfast’ last Sunday raised £107.35 and we received several donations that made the final sum £140. Our thanks go to everyone who helped and supported the ‘Breakfasts’ and the ‘Bottle’ throughout this year
Sunday, 4th December 2011 HCPT Group 83 Coffee Evening The recent Coffee Evening raised £611.87. A further £244.00 was donated, bringing the grand total to £855.87, a wonderful result. Thank you to everyone for your generosity and support

Sunday, 4th December 2011 Churches Together Christmas Celebration The annual Christmas celebration for Churches Together in Balsall and Berkswell is today, Sunday 4th December at 3pm at Heart of England School. The theme this year is “Global Christmas”

Sunday, 16th December 2007 Christmas Giving Tree The number of gifts donated was 43 of which 17 were for children. These were taken to Father Hudson’s Society for children at its projects in the Diocese. The other gifts will be given to the elderly and housebound in our parish. Thank you!

Saturday, 11th August 2007 Father Dennis Manion It is with deep sadness that we report that Father Dennis Manion, our Parish Priest between 1975 and 1988 died yesterday. Mass on the 15th August (the feast of the Assumption) will be for the repose of his soul. Please remember him in your prayers.
