News from the Millennium Project

Father Ed O’Connell visited our church and celebrated Mass for the parish on 21st June 2009. There has been a long associated between Father Ed and our parish as we have been raising money for the work he does in Lima in Peru for many years. After communion, the adult choir sang a motet called 'Sing for Joy the Lord is Risen', the music for which is believed to have originated in Peru in the 17th century.

After Mass, drinks and cake were serve and Father Ed gave a talk and slide show about the work he is currently doing in San Benito to combat malnutrition and domestic violence.
