Parish Meal - 2nd May 2009

This year’s annual parish meal, to raise funds for the church, took place on Saturday 2nd May and was attended by over 80 parishioners and their friends. A fantastic four course meal followed, masterminded by Pam Martin, Kathy Jones and Chris Mitchell, with the help of an army of volunteers.

The courses were interspersed with games and a raffle to further raise money to help pay off the debt on our church. Entertainment for the event was a closely guarded secret but was soon unveiled as ‘Fabba - Blessed Bob’s Big Abba Band’ who wowed all assembled with music from the Swedish Quartet. The evening continued long into the night and some tired faces were in evidence the following morning! Many thanks to all who supported and helped. We raised the fantastic amount of £1044.50 towards Parish funds.
