Responsibilities

Readers read the first reading (taken from the old testament or the Acts of the Apostles), the second reading (taken from the new testament) and the bidding prayers (after the congregation has said the Creed together) at each mass. When the choir is unable to sing the Psalm and the Gospel Acclamation, the reader also reads these as well.

If you are on the rota but are unable to cover any of the days allocated to you, please contact another reader and arrange to swap in advance.
